For accurate tracking and comfort, it’s important to securely attach the PAWVA X01 to your pet’s collar in the correct position.

How to attach using the included strap/mount:

  1. Choose your pet’s collar or harness (flat style preferred).

  2. Feed the strap through the mounting slots on the tracker.

  3. Fasten the strap around the collar, ensuring it is tight enough to stay in place but not restrict movement.

  4. Position the tracker on the top or side of the neck, not hanging underneath.

Recommended collar width:
10mm – 25mm (standard dog/cat collars)

Best tracker placement:

  • Dogs: Top or side of neck, away from metal tags

  • Cats: Lightweight collar only — ensure the tracker is not swinging freely

Avoid improper placement:

  • Do not let the tracker dangle — it may affect GPS accuracy

  • Avoid metal-on-metal contact (e.g. near tags or bells)

The PAWVA X01 includes a pre-installed multi-network SIM, designed to work globally across the UK, EU, and USA. This SIM enables 4G/2G data for live GPS tracking — with no subscription or monthly fees.

SIM key facts:

  • Prepaid for up to 5 years of data

  • Automatically connects to the strongest available network

  • No activation or top-up required

Network types used:

  • 4G LTE → Primary for GPS tracking

  • 2G/3G fallback → Used in low-signal areas

  • Wi-Fi/LBS positioning → Indoor or weak GPS environments

When network affects performance:

  • GPS may take longer indoors or in remote valleys/woodland

  • Switching between 4G and 2G may briefly delay location updates

If your tracker shows “Offline”:

  • Ensure battery is charged

  • Move outdoors for GPS lock

  • Allow up to 60 seconds for network reconnection

The PAWVA X01 includes smart learning technology, which improves accuracy over time by analysing your pet’s routine and typical location patterns.

What happens during the learning period:

  • The tracker identifies your home base (garden/backyard)

  • It refines geofence alert accuracy

  • Movement alerts become more accurate and less sensitive

Recommended setup during learning:

  • Use Accurate Mode for the first week (especially during walks)

  • Ensure the tracker is worn daily, even when at home

  • Set a Home Geofence early to define your pet’s safe zone

Why alerts may vary at first:

It is normal to receive more frequent alerts during the initial learning stage. As the device gathers data, alert sensitivity improves.

How to speed up learning:

  • Keep the tracker powered on at all times

  • Avoid switching it off overnight

  • Use the device both indoors and outdoors

The PAWVA X01 is designed for everyday outdoor use, including rain and mud, but it’s important to follow care guidelines to ensure long-term performance.

Waterproof Rating: IP66

  • Protected against heavy rain and splashes

  • Suitable for walking, running, wet grass, and puddles

  • Not designed for full swimming or submersion

Do not use while:

  • Swimming in deep water

  • Fully submerged (lakes, pools, sea)

  • Charging (device must be completely dry before charging)

Basic care and maintenance:

  • Wipe clean with a dry cloth after wet walks

  • Keep charging pins free from dirt or pet hair

  • Avoid dropping on hard surfaces

Strap and collar checks:

  • Inspect fastening weekly, especially for active dogs

  • Tighten if collar loosens through wear

If your PAWVA X01 becomes unresponsive, shows no LED lights, or stops updating location even after charging, use the following troubleshooting steps before contacting support.

💡 Tip: If your device does not respond even after a hard reset, contact PAWVA support and provide your IMEI number.
